The corroded coil wire could cause a short circuit between coil wires and a possible open am2 fuse creating a stall like condition of the hybrid system while the vehicle is being driven.
If you have a gen2 prius that has a condition of just shutting down or turning off and you have found that the am2 fuse is blown please check the inverter coolant pump located behind the drivers side headlight to be shorted thus causing the am2 fuse to blow.
